Listening to students' and educators' voices

The research was conducted by Associate Professor Kathryn Moyle of University of Canberra and Dr Susanne Owen of Owen Educational Consultancy during 2008.
The research began with a literature review of Australian and overseas research published since 2002, then collected data about learning with ICT by listening to students’ voices in schools, vocational education and training (VET) and pre-service and early career teachers.

The report of findings from this research are available from http://www.deewr.gov.au/Schooling/DigitalEducationRevolution/Resources/Pages/Resources.aspx.

  2. Taking part in a focus group with 8 to 10 other students undertaking similar studies. The purpose of the focus group was to discuss participants’ views and expectations of learning with technologies.

Completion of the survey and involvement in a focus group were both voluntary and participants’ identities were kept anonymous.
